The City of Carlin Police Department's primary responsibilities are to enforce the laws and ordinances that are in effect within the city, to investigate crimes that occur within the city, and to prevent injury to people and damage to property whenever possible. Our other responsibilities include the maintenance of order, the regulation of traffic, and the provision of other services as required by the law and officer of the City of Carlin.
The City of Carlin Police Department is comprised of the Chief of Police and 5 sworn police officers, a secretary, and additionally the department maintains an Animal Control/Code Compliance position.
The City of Carlin maintains a Police Department for the purpose of providing for the safety and protection of all persons who may be found within the city.

Carlin Police Department is extremely excited that our K9 Chief is going to be receiving a ballistic vest from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. due to a donation given by the American Legion Post #2 in Carlin. The vest will be bullet and stab protective. Big THANK YOU to these two organizations for making our K9 safer.
